Thank You

Thank you One and All

Jason Hill and Mark Powell (Cycle4Life – Adelaide to Melbourne) would like to sincerely thank all the people and businesses for helping us to raise the funds required to purchase 4 oxygen concentrators for South West Health palliative care and make a considerable donation to Peters Project. We raised a total value of $13250.00 for palliative care SWH, and $7741.00 for Peter’s Project. We also had enough to give $500.00 towards the amazing staff at ward 3 to purchase a Wii for the kids ward in honour of Leila Chow an amazing little girl.

Oxygen Concentrator

Hi all,
You may be wondering what the oxygen concentrators look like. Here is the link to the brochures for the "Free style" oxygen concentrator http://www.wymedical.com.au/docs/freestyle_brochure_10-05.pdf. The company that supplies South West Health is called WyMedical and they have agreed to do a deal for reduced purchase price as part of our ride if we agree to carry one of these machines. They are very portable as you can see and don't weigh very much at all. Probably equivalent to a couple of drink bottles. Thanks very much to Peter Bavistock from WyMedical for his support of our goal to purchase these Oxygen Concentrators.

Donations

Hello all,
As we are trying to raise 4750 dollars any donations you wish to make would be gratefully received and we can promote your generosity on this posting. Donations can be made directly to Southwest Healthcare reception by stating that the money is to go to Cycle4Life and they will issue you with a tax deductible receipt. All money will be going directly to the purchasing of the Oxygen Concentrator.
If you want to talk directly to me ring 55 619100 during business hours to discuss other possible options for donation. Thanks for any contributions no matter how small. This cause is about doing something for the people of Warrnambool.

Training update

Hi all,
Welcome to our training update page. Today is the 26th June 2010 and training has begun. This week is this first full week of riding i.e. ride Tues, Thurs, Sat and Sun. Total kms after tomorrow will probably be around 150kms. Why did anyone decide to start training in this weather. It is so cold that the whales have started to come to Warrnambool for the annual birthing. It is cold, wet and windy. Lets hope the weather starts to improve from here on in. Otherwise training is going to be indoors on the couch watching videos of Tour De France.
